Join Reach as a Growth Strategist (SEO & AEO Specialist).
You'll lead organic growth engagements for some of the best companies in the world, run experiments that continuously improve the system we use to deliver results, and help build both the platform and the team that will define how SEO and AI search work together.
This is not an agency account manager role. This is a builder-leader position where you own customer outcomes, run R&D on what actually drives results in AI search, codify your expertise into our platform, and grow into leading a team of world-class growth strategists.
About Reach
At Reach we're building the operating system to help companies monitor and control their visibility in AI search. We combine our platform, custom AI agents, and the top 1% of hands-on experts in organic growth (SEO & AEO) to help companies show up when buyers are researching and comparing solutions on Google and inside AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and turn that visibility into pipeline and revenue.
We reached ~$450k ARR in the first 6 months, basically bootstrapped, growing fast, and targeting $5M ARR by the end of 2026. We've been doing this for companies like ColdIQ ($7M ARR, #1 Clay worldwide sales agency), Indie Campers ($140M+ ARR), Carro, Fidelidade, Fraudio, Noxus and others.

Our founders have already a proven track record of building and scaling fast growing tech companies. Jose Velez (CEO), was the solo founder & CEO of Rely.io, an internal developer portal used by top engineering orgs like ESPN Bet and Feedzai, and have launched AI products that reached #1 Product of the Day and #1 AI Product of the month on Product Hunt. He raised $3.6M from top-tier firms like J12 Ventures, Shilling Capital Partners, TechstarsNYC, and TheVentureCity, as well as from notable angels.
Jose Pedro Nunes (CTO) has a track record of building and scaling world class engineering orgs. at high growth tech companies. He was the former VP of Engineering at Unbabel and Head of Engineering at BeReal and Sky.
Bernardo Ferreira, (founding AI search strategist), also led the strategy behind more than 250M organic visits and €100M in revenue attributed to SEO at Worten (think Iberian Amazon) in 2024.

The core team is in Lisbon, working out of our office with a focus on speed and collaboration. The best ideas happen at the whiteboard, not in a scheduled Zoom call.
The Role
We're looking for a builder-leader: someone who thrives in high-performance environments and brings pace, clarity, and hands-on leadership. You'll shape the strategy, get in the trenches with customers, run experiments that push the boundaries of what's possible, and build systems that scale as fast as our product and customer base evolve.You will own three things:
1. Lead Customer Engagements for Some of the Best Companies in the World
Our customers are exceptional companies with exceptional GTM teams. You'll be their trusted strategic partner on organic growth across Google and AI search.
Own the strategy end-to-end for a portfolio of customers: from initial research and buyer journey analysis to roadmap creation, execution oversight, and ongoing optimization.
Be the expert they rely on. Run deep buyer journey research. Analyze hundreds of thousands of keywords and prompts at scale. Reverse-engineer what's winning on Google and in AI answers. Build strategies grounded in real data, not generic best practices.
Drive outcomes, not deliverables. Run tight optimization loops tied to business results: track visibility, engagement, conversions, and pipeline signals. Conduct regular performance reviews, translating data into clear insights and next steps.
Set the bar for quality. Review and calibrate AI-generated content. Create detailed content briefs and action plans. Own technical SEO recommendations. Ensure every piece of work ships at the quality bar that makes customers say "this is the best team I've ever worked with."
Build executive-level relationships. You'll be the strategic partner and escalation point for senior customer stakeholders. You can explain a complex SEO strategy to a CEO and write a detailed content brief for a writer in the same day.
2. Run Experiments and Improve the System That Will Lead the AI Search Category
This is what makes Reach different from an agency. Your expertise doesn't just serve customers; it becomes the product.
Run continuous experiments on what drives AI citations, recommendations, and rankings. Test hypotheses, measure outcomes, and feed learnings back into our methodology and platform.
Codify your expertise into the AI agents. Work directly with the engineering team to translate your domain knowledge into agent capabilities. The strategies you build, the patterns you discover, and the playbooks you create become embedded in the system.
Build the methodology. We're not following a playbook from 2020. We're building the playbook for how SEO and AI search work together, in real-time, with real customers. Your insights shape the product roadmap, the AI agent behavior, and the content strategy.
Close the loop with Product and Engineering. Turn customer patterns into product requirements, experiments, and iteration priorities. Identify what should be automated in the platform vs. what requires human expertise, and help us draw that line correctly.
Define the category. The case studies we're building are some of the most concrete breakdowns of AI search impact on pipeline anywhere in the market. You'll be the person making them happen, and your work will define what "great" looks like in this space.
3. Build and Lead a Team of World-Class Growth Strategists
As we scale, you'll grow from individual contributor to team leader.
Recruit and develop top talent. Hire people who are fast, sharp, curious, and comfortable with a rapidly evolving product and playbook.
Hands-on leadership. Jump into customer accounts, strategy reviews, and escalations. Model excellence through action, not just direction.
Develop a new class of AI-powered strategists. Build a team that blends deep SEO expertise with AI tools and workflows. Your team will set the standard for what strategic SEO execution looks like in the AI era.
Build scalable systems. Create processes, templates, and playbooks that let us deliver exceptional results without a 1:1 ratio of strategist to customer. Determine what scales with people and what scales with platform.
Operational excellence. Create a culture defined by accountability, speed, clarity, and a bias for action.
This role is for you if you...
have 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with proven results driving organic traffic and revenue for B2B/SaaS companies.
have personally built and executed SEO strategies that drove measurable pipeline and revenue, not just rankings.
understand both technical SEO (site architecture, crawlability, schema, Core Web Vitals) and content SEO (keyword research, content strategy, on-page optimization).
have a strong understanding of AI search optimization (AEO/GEO) or a deep curiosity and willingness to learn fast. You understand how LLMs work and what influences their recommendations.
are comfortable working with large datasets: analyzing thousands of keywords, running competitive analyses, and turning data into strategy.
are an excellent writer and communicator. You can explain a complex strategy to a CEO and also write a detailed content brief for a writer.
use AI tools extensively in your own workflow and see them as force multipliers for research and execution.
have experience working directly with customers as a trusted advisor, not just delivering reports.
are naturally experimental. You form hypotheses, test them, measure results, and iterate.
Bonus points:
Experience with programmatic SEO or content at scale
Deep understanding of how LLMs select and cite sources (RAG, training data, web grounding)
Experience in the B2B SaaS or marketplace space
You've worked at a high-growth startup or a performance-driven agency
You've built processes or playbooks that scaled an SEO team's output
