Head of Growth at Reach

Join Reach as our Head of Growth!

You'll partner with me (Jose, CEO) to build the entire GTM function (almost) from scratch, then scale it. This is not a role where you inherit a team, a playbook, or a pipeline. You'll build all three.

You'll be Reach's first hire in the US and our first GTM hire. If you've built something before, you know what this means: everything is yours to shape.

We’ve already got a repeatable process to close deals w/ founder led sales. What we need is someone to establish Reach as the category leader who’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI for GTM and to fill the pipeline with the right ICP and build the demand engine that scales us from ~$450k to $5M ARR in the next 12 months.

You'll do this through LinkedIn thought leadership, high-quality workshops about AEO and organic growth, content that educates the market, free tools and linkable assets, targeted ABM campaigns, and by making Reach's own organic growth a case study.

You'll also work with some of the best GTM teams in the world as part of our customer delivery, which means you'll always be on the cutting edge of what's working.

This is a founding-level role with massive equity upside.

About Reach

At Reach we're building the operating system to help companies monitor and control their visibility in AI search. We combine our platform, custom AI agents, and the top 1% of hands-on experts in organic growth (SEO & AEO) to help companies show up when buyers are researching and comparing solutions on Google and inside AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and turn that visibility into pipeline and revenue.

We reach ~$450k ARR in the first 6 months, basically bootstrapped, growing fast, and targeting $5M ARR by the end of 2026. We've been doing this for companies like ColdIQ ($7M ARR, #1 Clay worldwide sales agency), Indie Campers ($140M+ ARR), Carro, Fidelidade, Fraudio, Noxus and others.

Jose Pedro Nunes (CTO) has a track record of building and scaling world class engineering orgs. at high growth tech companies. He was the former VP of Engineering at Unbabel and Head of Engineering at BeReal and Sky.

Bernardo Ferreira, (founding AI search strategist), also led the strategy behind more than 250M organic visits and €100M in revenue attributed to SEO at Worten (think Iberian Amazon) in 2024.


📍 Location

We care a lot about building things together, in person.

This is an in-person role based in New York City.

The product engineering team is in Lisbon, and we're going to start building a US presence. You'll be Reach's face in the US market, with regular travel to Lisbon and to customer/conference locations.

If you’re exceptional, we can also make an exception and you can join the team in Lisbon and we’ll figure out whether we can sponsor your visa to the US or if you can work from the Lisbon hub with regular travel to the US.

  • Partner with 2 founders with exceptional execution and track record (CEO is a 2nd time founder and raised $3.6M in the past and CTO built and led engineering orgs at fast growing companies like BeReal, Unbabel, Sky, and more.

  • You’ll own GTM end-to-end for a company at the perfect inflection point: product-market fit proven, strong case studies, revenue growing, and a massive market opening up.

  • You’ll work with the best GTM teams in the world. Our customers are companies like ColdIQ, Indie Campers, and Carro. You'll learn from them and use those learnings to keep pushing what's possible.

  • Life-changing equity. Founding level stake in a company with a realistic path to $100M+ ARR.

What You’ll Be Doing…

You will own three things:

1. Build the Demand Engine from Zero

There is no demand gen function today. No content calendar, no workshop series, no ABM campaigns, no free tools. You'll build all of it, working directly with me.

  • LinkedIn thought leadership. Build and execute a content strategy for my personal brand and Reach's company page. Turn customer results, research, and industry insights into a consistent stream of posts that generate inbound from our ICP. This is the #1 channel right now, and you need to be exceptional at it.

  • Workshops and market education. Design and run high-quality workshops on AI search and AI for GTM. Co-host with me. Push the edge of what's possible: test new formats, share what's working, educate the market while building pipeline.

  • Free tools and linkable assets. Create tools, calculators, research reports, and interactive content that our ICP finds genuinely useful. Engineering as marketing. These attract links, traffic, and leads.

  • ABM and targeted outreach. Run targeted campaigns to specific segments of accounts. Build sequences that generate qualified meetings. Create the collateral that makes outbound convert.

  • Reach's own organic growth. Practice what we preach. Own Reach's content strategy, blog, and website optimization. Work with our team to make sure Reach wins in SEO and AI search against the incumbents.

2. Own the Full Pipeline and Revenue Accountability

Your comp is tied to how fast the company grows. That means you care about every stage of the funnel, not just the top.

  • Generate qualified pipeline. Your primary metric is qualified meetings booked that I take and confirm as qualified. Everything you build (LinkedIn, workshops, tools, ABM, content) feeds this number.

  • Own the CRM and pipeline infrastructure. Build the tracking, forecasting, and reporting that lets us both see what's working and what's not.

  • Build the sales playbook with me. Qualification frameworks, proposal templates, follow-up sequences. Systematize what I do intuitively so it scales.

  • Kill what doesn't work. Identify the channels and campaigns that convert and double down. Cut the rest without hesitation.

  • Partnerships and events. Build referral channels with agencies, consultants, and complementary tools. Represent Reach at events and conferences in the US market.

3. Scale the Function Into a Team

You start as a one-person GTM team. As we grow past $2M ARR, you'll build and lead the team.

  • Recruit and develop. Hire the first SDR, content marketer, or events person when the time is right. Not before.

  • Build scalable systems. Create the processes, templates, and playbooks that make the demand engine run without you doing everything manually.

  • Stay hands-on. Even as you build a team, you keep executing. The best growth leaders at startups never fully stop doing the work themselves.


Signs you're a great fit…

  • Previously a founder (or has the DNA of one).

  • Astronomically high agency. You can roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself. You don't need a team to get started.

  • You have optimized your LLM setup obsessively. You tweaked your setup to a point where you can confidently deliver at 10x the speed while maintaining quality. You're eager to lead the market and be a thought leader in how to use AI for GTM.

  • You've led growth at a fast-growing startup and have the results to prove it.

  • You've already achieved impressive results from organic growth (SEO, content, LinkedIn, or a combination).

  • You have strong opinions about what works in B2B growth, and understand the SEO and AI search space well enough to speak credibly to CMOs and Heads of Growth.

  • You're an exceptional writer. LinkedIn thought leadership and content creation are a core part of this role, not a side project.

  • Are comfortable in zero to one chaos. Ambiguity doesn’t scare you, it energizes you. You have a true "founder mindset."

  • You don’t buy the “speed vs quality” excuse. You know the best teams move fast because they’re good, not because they cut corners.

  • You learn insanely fast and you’re genuinely curious about becoming world class at things like SEO and AI search, even if they weren’t your focus before.
